Why are undergraduates so cheap now?
College students are getting cheaper and cheaper. I think there are several main reasons.

1. The number of college students is increasing, and the enrollment is expanding all over the country. Millions of college students graduate every year. As the saying goes, the rarer things are, the more valuable they are. At that time, the college admission rate was only about 20%, so it was easy to find a job after graduation. There are college students everywhere now, of course it's cheap.

There are too few college students who can really learn knowledge and skills now. There is nothing to learn at school. There are basically no specialized courses in freshmen, and some specialized courses are interspersed in sophomores. Students play with their mobile phones in class and have no intention of attending classes. However, by the time of studying professional courses in junior year, students are not used to the lazy state of playing mobile phones in class, and they can't learn knowledge and skills at all. In addition, some teachers are irresponsible in class now, thinking that students will not listen anyway, just watch ppt and fool around. I think this has a lot to do with the exam-oriented education in China. In junior and senior high school, students were too nervous. Being overwhelmed by the topic all day, the only thing that supports them is what the teachers and parents said: "You will be liberated when you get to college, and I will never take care of you again ..." Along the way, students think that college is a paradise for fun, so they can't study hard.

3. There are some reasons for the development of enterprises in China. It's getting harder and harder to do business now. Many companies are laying off employees and there are fewer and fewer jobs. There are not many job opportunities for key undergraduates, let alone uneducated college students.
