China West Normal University was founded in 1946, and its birth has a direct historical origin with Northeastern University. 1937 War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression broke out and Northeastern University moved to Santai County, Sichuan Province. 1945 After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, Northeastern University moved back to Shenyang, leaving Sichuan teachers and students to establish a private North Sichuan College of Agriculture and Industry in Santai. 1949 Private North Sichuan A&M University merged with Xishan College founded by Mr. Wu, a famous Mohist, to form private North Sichuan University. 1950, the school moved to Nanchong and merged with North Sichuan College of Literature to form a public North Sichuan University.
