Guangxi University, located in Nanning, the picturesque capital of Guangxi, is the oldest and largest comprehensive university in Guangxi. It is the only national "2 1 1 Project" construction school in Guangxi, a world-class discipline construction university, and a "Ministry-District Joint Construction" university jointly established by the Ministry of Education and the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

The school covers an area of 210.3 million mu, of which Guangxi Subtropical Agricultural New Town (Agricultural and Forestry Research and Teaching Experimental Base) covers an area of/kloc-0.69 million mu, with a total construction area of more than 2 million square meters. There are 4 1.6 million paper documents (including college reference room), 3.66 million e-books and 57,000 kinds of e-periodicals.
