In the early days of its establishment, the college paid attention to cultivating students' entrepreneurial spirit and employability. In 2006, it invested 2.5 million yuan to set up the College Student Entrepreneurship Foundation of Guangxi City Vocational College. The College Students Pioneer Park under its jurisdiction now has seven departments, namely, cultural concept development department, work-study program department, education research and development department, art design and advertising department, publicity and training department and marketing department. At present, there are more than 50 student officers and nearly 300 students involved in entrepreneurship. In August, 2006, Nanning base of Guangxi City Vocational College Pioneer Park was established, and 10 student start-up companies will settle in early September. The Foundation has created a golden key for students in our college to start a business and provided them with a platform to display their talents. It is expected to make a profit of several million yuan this year. Under the guidance of the foundation leaders and teachers, the entrepreneurial activities of college students have been carried out, which has realized the work-study program for students in our college under the premise of daily teaching, and will guide more and more college students to embark on the road of independent entrepreneurship.
