Brief introduction of the author
Yang Kuan, 19 14 was born in Baihejiang Town, Qingpu, Shanghai. 1936 graduated from China Literature Department of Shanghai Guanghua University, and participated in the preparatory work of Shanghai Museum in the same year. 1946 curator of Shanghai Museum, 1953 adjunct professor of history department of Fudan University, 1960 deputy director of history department of Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, 1970 full-time professor of history department of Fudan University, 1986 lectured and settled in Miami University, USA, in September 2005. His representative works include Introduction to Ancient History of China, Philosophy of Mohist Classics, Textual Research of China's Past Dynasties, New Exploration of Ancient History, Lu Chunqiu's Collection (in cooperation with Shen Yanguo), History of Warring States, History of Western Zhou Dynasty, History of Metallurgical Technology in Ancient China, Research on the Institutional History of Ancient Mausoleums in China, and Research on the Institutional History of the Ancient Capital of China, etc. Published more than 200 academic papers.
