Zhongnan University of Economics and Law cooperates with Southeast University of Korea, University of Rome I, Novi Sad University of Serbia and State University of New York at Stony Brook.

In terms of foreign academic exchange, the school has established extensive international cooperative research and international academic exchange relations with more than 100 universities and scientific research institutions in more than 20 countries and regions in America, Europe, Asia and Oceania. The school cooperated with Dongxi University to hold undergraduate education programs of visual communication design (animation game direction) and film photography (image content direction), which is the first cooperative project with Asian universities among similar professional projects of the Ministry of Education.

As one of the universities in China 13, together with the universities in Russia 13, * * established the Sino-Russian Economic University Alliance and became a member of the Sino-Russian "Yangtze River-Volga River" University Alliance.
