Strait University is a member of the European Union of Universities (EUA). Since 1998, all majors of the Institute of Technology have been certified by the American Engineering Technology Accreditation Board. The setting of disciplines and specialties is flexible, with a wide range of courses, focusing on cross-disciplines. About 25% freshmen participated in international exchange programs in the 2010-201academic year. The school has established a research-oriented school-building system, attaching importance to postgraduate training and academic research. It is one of the most famous universities in Turkey, especially its School of Economics and Management, where most successful businessmen have graduated.
