Selected as a high-level university construction plan in Guangdong Province (key discipline construction university).
In April 2005, with the approval of People's Republic of China (PRC) and the Ministry of Education, Beijing Normal University-Hong Kong Baptist University Joint International College was established. From 2065438 to June 2006, postgraduate education was approved by the Ministry of Education. 202 1 was selected into the construction plan of high-level universities (key discipline construction universities) in Guangdong province.
According to official website information in May 2023, the first phase of the school covers an area of 244,940 square meters, with a total construction area of about 320,000 square meters. The second phase is under construction, covering an area of about 367,000 square meters.
