The College of Liberal Arts has always attached importance to academic exchanges and cooperation at home and abroad, and constantly expanded its academic influence. Actively undertake seminars on cultural and literary exchanges around the Pacific, the first national seminar on comparative literature, the first national seminar on a dream of red mansions for young and middle-aged people, the second national Iranian literature conference, the tenth national Indian literature conference, the seminar on modern literature research in China in retrospect and prospect, and the 2 1 century advanced seminar on the development trend of China linguistics. He has held more than 20 academic conferences at home and abroad, such as "Seminar on Linguistic Development", "Seminar on the Transformation of Modern Novels in China under the Background of Globalization" and "International Seminar on Marxist Aesthetics and Contemporary Society". Successfully hosted the Ministry of Education's "National Training for Key Teachers of Chinese Teaching Theory in Colleges and Universities", "Second National Training Course for Middle School Chinese Trainers in New Basic Education Curriculum" and "2007 Annual Novel Ranking Selection Meeting of Chinese Fiction Society" and other academic activities. The college has also actively carried out exchanges and cooperation with departments of internationally renowned universities such as the Oriental Department of St. Petersburg University in Russia, and strived to build a "world sinology culture and education circle", which has expanded the international academic prestige and influence of the school and the college. The College also invited more than 30 internationally and domestically renowned experts and scholars such as Chen Hong, Zeng Fanren, Huang Dekuan, Ye Jiaying, Wang Furen, Lu Jianming and Wen Rumin to give nearly 50 high-level academic frontier lectures for teachers and students, which enabled teachers and students to have in-depth academic exchanges with academic predecessors and friends.
Since the establishment of 1958 Chinese Department of Tianjin Normal University, the College of Literature has trained more than 10,000 graduates. Alumni from all walks of life at home and abroad have become outstanding talents in various fields. Most graduates are engaged in teaching. In the seven "Top Ten Young Teachers" selection activities organized by the general education system in Tianjin, the graduates of the College of Arts were on the list. Since 2000, 26 graduates have passed the examination of Singapore Ministry of Education and gone to Singapore to teach. Some students have gone to Thailand, Vietnam, Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, Bulgaria and other countries as volunteers of international Chinese teachers.
