Wuhai Vocational and Technical College is located in Binhe New District, Haibowan District, Wuhai City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. It is the only full-time general vocational college founded in Wuhai. On June 5, 2004, the People's Government of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region approved the establishment of Wuhai College of Inner Mongolia University of Technology by document 2 16, and on February 6, 2005, it approved the establishment of Wuhai Vocational and Technical College by document [2005]28. Wuhai Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government attach great importance to the construction and development of the College. Since the construction began in 2004, more than 200 million yuan has been invested in the construction of the college. The college covers an area of 466,200 square meters, with a construction area of nearly 6,543,800 square meters, a green area of 53,000 square meters, sports venues such as basketball courts and football fields of 25,000 square meters, teaching auxiliary rooms of 64,000 square meters, student apartments, restaurants and other living rooms of 35,000 square meters, which are divided into teaching areas, administrative areas, experimental training areas, cultural and sports activities areas and living areas. Now there are 27 majors in six categories: chemical engineering, coal, electromechanical, electric power, construction and management. The college has 0/93 faculty members, 56 teachers with associate senior titles and above, and 46 teachers with dual qualifications. There are 45 teachers with "double shoulders" and 58 teachers with master's degree or above (including studying).
