Fujian Normal University is a university jointly founded by Fujian Provincial People's Government, China People and Ministry of Education. It is one of the three key high-level universities in Fujian Province.

Fujian Normal University, located in Fuzhou, a famous city in the southeast of China, is a university established by Fujian Provincial People's Government, China People's Government and Ministry of Education. Selected in China's "20 1 1 Plan", "Overseas High-level Talents Introduction Plan", "Excellent Teacher Training Plan" and "China Demonstration Base for Studying Abroad by the Ministry of Education". Fujian Province will focus on building one of the three high-level universities, a teaching and training base for teaching Chinese as a foreign language facing Southeast Asia, a pilot school for students in Taiwan Province Province, a key school for supporting Chinese teaching in neighboring countries, a scholarship institution for overseas students of the China government, a China-ASEAN education and training center, a research center for basic education courses of the Ministry of Education, and a demonstration and centralized training project school of the "National Training Plan". This school is one of the earliest normal universities in China. Its predecessor was an excellent normal school in Fujian Province founded by the Qing emperor Chen Yu 1907. After several adjustments and mergers, South China Women's College of Arts and Sciences, Fujian Christian University, Fujian Normal University and other units established Fujian Normal University on 1953, and 1972 changed its name to Fujian Normal University.
