Located in Baoding City, Hebei Province, Hebei Agricultural University is a provincial-level key university approved by Hebei Provincial People's Government, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and State Forestry and Grassland Bureau.
The school was selected into the first batch of "Excellent Agricultural and Forestry Talents Education and Training Plan" and "Excellent Engineers Education and Training Plan", which is the "Basic Capacity Building Project of Universities in the Midwest" of the Ministry of Education 100.
The predecessor of Hebei Agricultural University was Zhili Agricultural School, which was founded in the 28th year of Guangxu (1902). 19 12 changed to zhili public agricultural college; 192 1 year, Zhili public agricultural specialized school and medical college merged with law, law and politics and higher normal schools to form Hebei University.
193 1 year, Hebei University was dissolved and Hebei Agricultural College became independent. 1958 Hebei Agricultural College was renamed as Hebei Agricultural University; 1995 merged with the former Hebei Forestry College to form a new Hebei Agricultural University.

It has carried out school running or strategic cooperation with large enterprise groups such as Great Wall Motor Co., Ltd., Shandong Denghai Pioneer Seed Industry Co., Ltd. and Baoding Agricultural Reclamation Corporation, and signed strategic cooperation agreements with local governments and departments such as Baoding, Xingtai, Hengshui, Shijiazhuang and Hebei Meteorological Bureau.
