Post a copy of my diary for you:

1, about the procedure

I remember going through the formalities in the school and running around several buildings, mainly opening some certificates and files, as well as later grades and diplomas.

It should be noted that you must set aside several thousand RMB a month!

For the record, Beijing hukou can be directly deposited in schools in Beijing. If I remember correctly, I paid a filing fee of more than 1000 yuan, saying that I had saved it for five years. However, if it is a foreign household registration, it is best to go to the north domain (the small building near the southwest gate of the north domain) first, otherwise it will be very troublesome to file.

It seems that the grades, diplomas and degree certificates have been notarized, but I didn't notarize them when I saw the stamp on them. As it turns out, it was useless later. If you have an admission notice from a French school, you don't need a certificate from a domestic school in the future.

Another point, which is very important, is that recently France began to require medical insurance number and birth certificate for housing subsidies, and the French translation of domestic birth notarization is not recognized here. When I went to CAF a few months ago, I was told to reissue it, but I was not at ease, so I always bothered and ignored it. Because it is only the beginning, it is not a hard requirement for the time being. I can't remember the details. I will make it up in a few days. . .

2. About luggage

Some things are here, but they are very expensive; Some things are not here; These two categories should be brought!

Clothing: There are four seasons like autumn in France, so it is enough to bring several sets of autumn clothes and a winter coat. Because July and February are the months of price reduction, it is not expensive to buy clothes, so there is no need to bring too much. Especially the so-called famous brands in China, it's a little cheaper here.

Daily necessities: If you go to Paris, everything is sold in the 13 area. But in ordinary cities, some are still hard to buy. For example, a kitchen knife, here are all knives, only to know that the big kitchen knife is a "China feature". The pots and bowls here are a little more expensive, but you can also find cheap ones in the supermarket. Chopsticks must be brought. Bath supplies are all available here. Just nod for a few days. Learning tools here are expensive, such as folders, pens, refills and rulers, which are very cheap in China. Please bring some if it is convenient. Just sign your mobile phone here, and pay the phone bill for two years, and you will get a mobile phone, which is quite good. Unless it is necessary to use the Chinese system, my mobile phone can't send and receive Chinese messages, which also has advantages and disadvantages. The price difference of computers is not too much, but computer accessories are very expensive here. It is best to bring your own adapter, network cable, earphone, microphone, hard disk, mouse and flash memory. There is also an electronic dictionary, which is a necessity.

Come to think of it, pressure cookers and rice cookers are still very useful. If you like cooking by yourself, you'd better bring it!

Food: Speaking of it, the most difficult thing to buy is food. Whether there are many supermarkets in China depends entirely on personality. It is inconvenient for me to buy porcelain here. It is strongly recommended to bring your own seaweed, kelp, fungus, mushrooms and vermicelli. If it's convenient, you can also bring some mustard tuber, hot sauce, dried seaweed, instant noodles and the like, which will relieve your hunger within six months. Seasoning, pepper, aniseed, cinnamon, dried Chili, spiced powder, it is best to bring more. Sugar, salt, pepper, cumin, etc. Ordinary supermarkets here sell it, as well as soy sauce, vinegar, monosodium glutamate, sesame oil, hot pot and vermicelli. I'm going to the Super League ~

Books and materials: If it is convenient, it is better to bring some previous teaching materials, such as advanced mathematics and material strength, which are still useful. We have brought a dozen copies of * * * alone, and if necessary, compare them in French to help us understand.

Money: It is said that it has something to do with the permanent residence. I don't know exactly how many. How can I bring four or five thousand euros or send them later? But pay attention to safety.

Others: bring some bedding if you are convenient. Some accommodations don't offer these. Bring some cheap and exquisite gifts to others. How much is a simple pendant here? Something else . . Still thinking ~

3, permanent residence, housing supplement, etc.

Housing supplement: most of the French university towns are 9 square meters single rooms (one bed, one sink, tables and chairs, cabinets). You look for them outside, and several people share a big house. The amount of rent and housing subsidies has a lot to do with the city. Generally, the original price of medium-sized cities is one or two hundred euros per person per month, and it is about 100 euros per person per month after housing subsidies, but the original price of big cities is four or five hundred euros, and it is more than 300 euros or even more after housing subsidies. If the husband and wife share the same room or have scholarships, the housing subsidy will be higher. Apartment types are T 1, T 1 bis, T2 and larger. T 1 one person lives, about 20 square meters, which is better than a single room of 9 square meters. It has a bathroom and a stove. T 1 bis is a single or couple suite, which is larger than T 1, generally 30 to 40 square meters. T2 is generally same-sex sharing, with standard two rooms and one living room.

There is an organization called CAF, which fills in a form online, and it will automatically calculate the housing subsidy (related to family background and living conditions), and bring the permanent residence certificate and other documents, and you can receive the housing subsidy after a while. From the date of obtaining the permanent residence permit, the housing allowance will be reissued for three months, but there will be no housing allowance in the first month of moving in. If you have a formal scholarship certificate, you must use it. Not only will the room supplement increase by tens of euros, but it will also give you an extra 300 euros.

Long-term residence: When you come to France, you need to bring a deposit certificate (if you have a scholarship certificate, you don't need it), passport and visa, birth certificate, school admission notice and four ID card photos (both supermarkets and subways have camera machines, and four photos seem to be 4 euros. Anyway, it's very expensive, so you'd better take them at home, because you need them for long-term residence in the future) and apply for long-term residence (long-term residence permit, 1 year). If you don't move during this period, forget it. If you change cities, you have to change your list again. Within 1-3 months after I get the list, I will get a permanent residence permit, and then I will pay a handling fee of 55 euros. After that, I have to take a physical examination, and then I can get a free vaccination, but I didn't go ~ and then I will go again a year later. Some people will apply to continue their studies so that they can stay for a long time next year. However, it is said that international students can stay in France for half a year to find a job after graduation, but it is not clear.

4. Daily life in France

Sign a mobile phone: There are three major telecom companies in France, and mobile phones are generally signed. The so-called mobile phone signing is to choose a 12 or 24-month phone bill package, and then you can get a mobile phone for a little money (many options). For example, my mobile phone is Sony Ericsson 580i, as long as 1 euro, and then I pay 25 euros per month (including one hour and three unlimited calling numbers), one * * * two years. If you contact China, you have to sign Orange, but it seems a little more expensive, and it is said that the phone bill is more effective. The disadvantage is the French system. Either change the system or bring your own mobile phone.

Transportation fee: general bus or subway ticket 1 above Europe. There are monthly tickets and daily tickets to choose from, but they are also quite expensive. If you buy a set meal, it will be cheaper, or around 1 Europe. However, France seems to advocate tourism and assembly activities very much, because some religious festivals, literary festivals or visiting days will reduce transportation expenses and make it easier for everyone to travel. By train, you'd better get a youth card, about 50 euros, and you can get a discount on train tickets in the future. There will be a travel pass during the holiday. For example, we have a week-long train trip in 15 Europe during the summer vacation, so we can play around. It should be noted that strikes in France are a kind of culture, and the transportation department is the leader of strikes, so there may often be no cars.

Supermarkets: On Sundays, except monoprix (usually in the city center, the price is a little expensive), basically all other supermarkets are closed. If you forget to buy things, you will be miserable if you have nothing to eat on Sunday.

Cheap supermarkets are generally Ed and LIDL, especially Ed, I like it very much, and there are many foods that are cheap! LIDL seems to have something to do with the railway department. There are such supermarkets all over Europe. But the supermarkets that French people go to more seem to be casinos. I don't know why. Shopping carts in front of supermarkets usually need 1 euro coins to unlock the chain. In France, 1 euro coins are still necessary, and 10 yuan is a handy tool. Many supermarkets in France don't give plastic bags, so if you go shopping empty-handed, you may not be able to move back. It is necessary to have a big shopping bag that can be carried or dragged! ! ! Shopping bags will be expensive here. If you go shopping with a bag on your back, you will have to be checked, which is very troublesome. We also have SuperU, which is cheap, large and returned in plastic bags, which is rare in other cities. There are many other supermarkets, so I won't go into details.

Engineering College: I haven't been to other schools, but at least I know that they are all small. Show them the campus of Beihang University, and they are all stunned. There are gardens, stadiums and many tall buildings. The College of Engineers is so exquisite, a building with many small computer rooms and laboratories. The big class is in the ladder classroom, and more often I do exercises and experiments. There are 20 students in one class, one experimental group 10 and one group 1 0. Group computers, do small projects with various software, write reports, and the teacher is responsible for explaining and answering questions. I always feel that this is the real way of learning in 2 1 century. Unlike in China, where students only study theory, it is difficult for teachers to answer each experimenter's questions in various ways. What makes me more gratified is the charge. Tuition in public schools is free, and the registration fee is about 1000 euros per year. Don't underestimate this registration fee. You don't need to buy any books. Every class, the teacher will hand out textbooks, handouts and exercises. There are also very good teachers. They see that I don't study in the first grade (they are students in engineering schools, with two years of preparatory courses and three years of engineers, which is equivalent to five years of undergraduate and graduate students. I graduated from college and went directly to the second grade of engineers), and they also provided me with thick first-year textbooks. What moved me was that the registration fee for ing~ was too valuable!

About making phone calls on the Internet: Most of the networks here are wireless WIFI, so computers must have wireless network cards! ! ! But the wireless is not stable, and some of them are wired, so at least you should bring a network cable for backup. The network cable here is very expensive. We use a very cheap NEO, 10 Euro per month, and the signal is average, not very good. Neuf, Livebox, Freebox, etc Are connected to the fixed telephone and TV. If you use a landline or don't want to receive only six channels on TV, you can use these, which costs 20-60 euros per month. When you make a phone call, you will use a calling card at first, about 6 euros, including Reading card, China card, Great Wall card and so on. Whether the signal is good or bad and the charging time is reasonable can't be guaranteed. A more cost-effective way is to sign up for the network first, and then use VoIP. I use VoipDiscount, which is super cheap to call domestic landlines and mobile phones, and the signal effect is average. Recommended use.

About cooking: I wrote it many times in my previous diary. The cheaper ones here are potatoes, carrots, onions and zucchini, while the more expensive ones are Chinese cabbage (harder than domestic ones), Chinese cabbage and lettuce (many kinds! ), cauliflower, eggplant, green pepper, pepper, mushroom, cucumber, tomato, beans, sausage, beef, pork, lamb chops, seafood, chicken, etc. Beans, mushrooms and corn are all canned foods. If you want to cook Chinese food yourself, you can practice these ingredients in China first. Staple food, here are several kinds of rice, including flour, cake powder and various pasta. Cheese, a specialty of France, is also my favorite. Some of them stink, and I dare not eat them. Some are deliberately moldy. I have tasted a little, which is a little more salty than other cheeses and has no special taste. Some ordinary cheese, cake-shaped, I like it very much. Crushed cheese is used for cooking or pasta. Red wine and white wine are always available at home. What dishes to go with are exquisite and not expensive, ranging from 1 euro to tens of euros. French people like to mix their own wine, and it is also my favorite to mix sweet wine with high degree into juice.

Many people are concerned about the cost of eating. When going out to eat, basically 10 Euro is the bottom price for everyone, so if you save money, you can skip it. The canteen costs about 2.8 euros per meal, and the food is good, with one main course, three choices (salad or dessert, fruit) and one hard bread. Anyway, I always eat it and bring it back. The most economical thing is to do it yourself, and 1 European materials can be eaten well. I eat less staple food and more snacks. I promise fruit, yogurt and cheese. I often make delicious but inexpensive tricks to satisfy my appetite. I seldom go to restaurants or canteens. I eat about 60 euros a month. People who can eat are about 100 Euros, while people who go on a diet are about forty or fifty Euros. There is no end to luxury. So you can work out the approximate cost, right

Is there anything else you want to know? Leave me a message and I will continue to add.
