Guangxi City Vocational College, formerly known as Guangxi City Vocational College, was founded in 2005 and is a non-profit private institution of higher learning approved by the Ministry of Education.

Guangxi City Vocational College was organized by Guangxi Chengcheng Education Investment Co., Ltd. on 20 18 12. The Ministry of Education listed the school as the first batch of vocational education pilot units at the undergraduate level in China, and the name of the school was tentatively set as Guangxi City Vocational College (undergraduate). On May 20 19, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, the school was renamed as Guangxi City Vocational University.

By March, 2023, the school has Chongzuo Campus and Airport Campus, covering an area of 3,348.11mu, with secondary colleges 10, 23 undergraduate majors and 53 higher vocational colleges. At present, the school has 65438 full-time teachers and 604 part-time teachers. The school has successively won the honorary titles of "National Greening Model Unit", "Outstanding Contribution Award for the Development of Private Higher Education" and "Excellent Unit for the Employment of College Graduates in the Region".
