Yoichiro Nambu's life course
Yoichiro Nambu was born in Fukui Prefecture on 192 1. Born in Tokyo, Japan, he moved to Fukui when he was 2 years old. Now he is an honorary professor in osaka city university and an honorary citizen of Fukui City. After graduating from Fujishima High School in Fukui Prefecture, he entered the Department of Physics of Tokyo Imperial University (renamed as Tokyo University from 1947) and obtained bachelor's and doctor's degrees respectively. From 65438 to 0949, Yoichiro Nambu was hired as an associate professor by osaka city university, and was promoted to professor the following year, when he was only 29 years old.

1952, Yoichiro Nambu was invited to visit Princeton Institute for Advanced Studies in the United States. From 1956, he worked as an associate professor at the University of Chicago, and was promoted to professor from 1958.

1970 American citizenship. 199 1 was awarded honorary professor of Enrico Fermi Institute of University of Chicago. In the same year, he put forward the "South-Goto Theory" in cooperation with Tieren Goto. Although the theory was later proved to be wrong, it attracted attention again in 1984 because of the publication of supersymmetric string theory.
