Liaoning University of Traditonal Chinese Medecine was founded in 1958, with its main campus in Shenyang and sub-campuses in Dalian and Benxi. It is the only public undergraduate college in the province and the highest research institution of traditional Chinese medicine. It is the first Chinese medicine service export base, national Chinese medicine clinical base and national clinical pharmacology base in China. It has the key laboratory of the Ministry of Education and four 3A affiliated hospitals. After more than 60 years of development, the school has formed a high-level teaching team with both teaching, scientific research and clinical strength, represented by the chief scientist of the 973 Project, the master of traditional Chinese medicine and Huang Qi scholars, and has 98 clinical teaching bases.

Undergraduate enrollment plan for 2020 1479, of which more than 60% will be used for enrollment in Liaoning province. There are 24 enrollment majors, mostly Chinese medicine and related majors, all of which are planned to be put into operation in Liaoning Province. It is particularly worth mentioning that the medical majors in other medical colleges usually only recruit science and engineering candidates, while the traditional Chinese medicine, clinical medicine of Chinese and Western medicine and nursing in this school are both liberal arts and sciences in Liaoning Province. Candidates who wish to study medicine can pay more attention to it. The main change of the school's enrollment plan in 2020 is the addition of three professional and 1 cooperative education projects. They are orthopedics and traumatology of traditional Chinese medicine, rehabilitation and treatment of traditional Chinese medicine, resources and development of traditional Chinese medicine, and nursing (Chinese-foreign cooperative education project).
