Nanchang Hangkong University College of Science and Technology was approved by Jiangxi Provincial Department of Education and Jiangxi Provincial Planning and Development Committee in July, 20001,and it was the first independent college confirmed by the Ministry of Education. College is an application-oriented undergraduate college with business administration as the main body and the coordinated development of engineering, management, literature, science, economics and art.

At present, the college has five teaching departments, including the Department of Machinery and Materials, the Department of Information and Electronics, the Department of Management and Economics, the Department of Literature and Art, and the Department of Ideological and Political Education, with 28 undergraduate majors and nearly 9,000 students. There are 375 full-time teachers in the college, of which 78% are teachers with postgraduate education or above, and 34% are teachers with senior titles.
