Suzhou Campus of Southeast University was formerly known as Suzhou Research Institute of Southeast University, which was established in 2005. Now there are more than 600 graduate students 1.600, and the Suzhou campus of Southeast University has been transformed into a branch campus on the basis of the research institute.

Institutions such as Southeast University Technology Transfer (Suzhou) Center and a number of scientific and technological innovation platforms aim to consolidate the achievements of running schools in cooperation with Suzhou for more than ten years, and strive to make Southeast University run schools in Suzhou bigger and stronger in accordance with the development requirements of "high-end, internationalization, localization and characteristics".
