Minxi Vocational and Technical College, formerly known as Minxi Vocational College, was founded in 1983 and is one of the earliest public higher vocational colleges in Fujian Province. In February 2004, with the approval of the provincial government, Minxi Vocational College was renamed as Minxi Vocational and Technical College on the basis of absorbing the educational resources of Longyan Industrial School. The aim of the college is to cultivate applied higher professional and technical personnel. The school site is located at the south foot of the scenic Lianhuashan Park in Longyan City. The college has modern school-running facilities, high-quality teachers and high-quality school-running achievements, and has successively won honorary titles such as provincial civilized school, provincial green school, provincial advanced collective for safety production, provincial home for advanced teachers built by party and government workers, and provincial May 4th Red Flag Youth League Committee.
