Preparatory students enrolled in colleges and universities refer to ethnic colleges and universities designated by the state. The preparatory classes for ethnic minorities held by ordinary universities or ethnic colleges serve the party and the country to improve the cultural level of ethnic minorities. A special measure taken to speed up the development of socialist modernization in ethnic minority areas and remote areas and train more ethnic minority professionals only recruits ethnic minority candidates, and the enrollment subjects mainly include liberal arts and science. The admission standard shall not be lower than the minimum score of 80 points of the relevant institutions in the same batch.

The enrollment targets are divided into two types: Min Kao Min's two-year academic system and Min Kao Han 1 year.

Admission requirements for ethnic preparatory classes: ethnic minority candidates or Han candidates who meet the admission requirements of ordinary colleges and universities, love their hometown and are determined to contribute to the construction of their hometown, counties that implement the frontier policy, poverty-stricken counties determined by the provincial people's government, ethnic minority autonomous counties, rural hukou determined by the administrative office and the state people's government. Ethnic minority candidates and Han candidates whose fathers (or mothers) work in units below the township level in the above-mentioned areas may apply for preparatory classes for ethnic minorities in ordinary colleges and universities.

Ethnic preparatory classes and college volunteers should be filled in at the same time, and the preparatory class volunteers should be filled in the column of college preparatory courses in the corresponding admission batches. Candidates who apply for the first batch of undergraduate matriculation courses in colleges and universities fill in the column of "Volunteer for the first batch of undergraduate matriculation courses"; Candidates applying for the second batch of undergraduate preparatory courses in undergraduate colleges should fill in the column of "the second batch of undergraduate preparatory courses"; Candidates applying for the second batch of undergraduate and junior college preparatory courses should fill in the column of "Volunteer for Junior College and Junior College Preparatory Course".
