The School of Information of Wuyi University is located in Wu Shunde Building donated by Mr. Wu Shunde, an overseas Chinese in Wuyi. College was established in June 2002, which was formed by the merger of electronic engineering department, computer engineering department and traffic engineering department. Among them, the Department of Electronic Engineering was founded in 1985, Radio Technology (1986) and Computer Science (1986). Electronic engineering specialty with radio technology specification of 1994 and electronic information engineering specialty of 1999; Electronic computer specialty 1990 specification is computer and application specialty; Multichannel communication specialty was established in 1993, and 1994 was standardized as communication engineering specialty. In 2006, it was rated as a famous brand major in Guangdong Province, and was approved as the second degree major in 2005. Computer Engineering Department was established in 1989, majoring in computer and application (1990). 1999 was standardized as a computer science and technology major, and was approved as the second degree major in 2005. The Department of Transportation Engineering was established in 1993, and the major of transportation (1993) is 1999. The major of electrical engineering and its automation was established in 1999.
After re-integration, the college reorganized the departments of electronic engineering, computer engineering and traffic engineering into the departments of communication and electronic engineering, computer and network engineering and information and control engineering respectively. Among them, the research in the field of high-speed optical fiber communication has achieved international advanced and domestic leading research results; The application of intelligent control theory in urban traffic signal control and bridge condition monitoring has reached the advanced level in China. He once presided over two "863" projects and became the main technical force of "Jiangmen Speech Recognition Achievement Transformation Base".
