Jinan University is a university jointly established by the Shandong Provincial People's Government and the Ministry of Education, a key university in Shandong Province, an excellent planned university of the Ministry of Education, and a national engineering practice education center. It is one of the first application-oriented famous universities with Shandong characteristics.

At present, the school has 92 undergraduate majors, many of which are liberal arts, such as economy and trade, finance, business administration, law and so on. There are more than a dozen provinces in Shandong province that enroll all or part of their students in one batch. Most majors in Shandong Province enrolled students in the first batch, and some majors enrolled students in the second batch.
