Laiwu Vocational and Technical College is a full-time ordinary institution of higher learning approved by Shandong Provincial People's Government in June 2000. Formed by the merger of Laiwu Normal School, Laiwu Radio and TV University and Laiwu Vocational Secondary School, the municipal party committee and municipal government decided to build a new campus in Laiwu High-tech Zone.

Construction started in June 2005, and now it has invested more than 400 million yuan, with a construction area of 230,000 square meters, which can accommodate10.2 million students. This is a modern, digital and ecological new campus.

The College has successively established cooperative relations with Laigang Group, Taigang Group, Yantai Foxconn Technology Group, Beijing Huiyuan Group, Tianjin Tongguang Group, Lunan Pharmaceutical Group, SAIC Powder Metallurgy and many other enterprise groups. The college has obtained the support of enterprises such as factory buildings, equipment and funds, and the enterprises have obtained the manpower and technical support of the college, achieving mutual benefit and win-win between schools and enterprises.
