Tianjin University of Finance and Economics (TUFE), located in Tianjin, is a key university in Tianjin and an important base for training senior economic management talents in northern China.

It is a multidisciplinary university that focuses on economic management, with interdisciplinary and coordinated development of law, literature, science, engineering, teaching and art.

It has been selected into the National Key Discipline Project, the National High-level University Construction Postgraduate Program, the National College Students' Innovation and Entrepreneurship Training Program, the National Hundred Schools Project and the Tianjin High-level Characteristic University Construction Project.

It is one of the earliest institutions in China that cooperated with foreign countries to hold academic education and awarded American MBA degree. Both the MBA program and the e MBA program have passed the British AMBA certification body, and are one of the first two "Certified Public Accountant Qualification Examination Centers" established by ACCA in China, a platinum-level educational institution of ACCA, and a member of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei University Business Collaborative Innovation Alliance. ?

The school was founded in 1958, relying on the economics major of Nankai University. Formerly known as Hebei Institute of Finance and Economics, in June 1969, it was placed under the leadership of Tianjin and renamed Tianjin Institute of Finance and Economics. On May 7, 2004, it was renamed Tianjin University of Finance and Economics with the approval of the Ministry of Education. ?

As of March 20021year, the school covers an area of nearly 1400 mu, with a total construction area of about 540,000 square meters and 14 teaching units.
