Hang Seng University in Hong Kong is a non-profit private university adhering to the tradition of Hang Seng Business School.
The history of Hong Kong Hang Seng University (Evergrande) can be traced back to 1980. Hang Seng Business School (Hengshang) was established with the generous donations of He Shanheng Charity Foundation, He Tian Charity Foundation, Dachang Trading Company, Hang Seng Bank and some founders of Hang Seng Bank. 1980 to 2009, the diploma and associate degree courses of Hengshang gained great reputation in the academic and business circles and made remarkable achievements.
In the 2009 policy address, the Chief Executive of Hong Kong pointed out that excellent private universities are becoming more and more important in Hong Kong. In view of this, according to the Post-secondary Colleges Ordinance (Chapter 320), Hengshang was reorganized into Hang Seng School of Management (Hengguan) on 20 10.
Registered as a non-profit private college, offering a variety of undergraduate and above degree courses. 201810/kloc-0 was approved as the second private university in China mainland and Hongkong on October 30th.

Evergrande is determined to become a leading private university in the region led by liberal arts education, and promote social and world development through excellent teaching, scientific research and services. Evergrande consists of five colleges-Business School, Communication College, Decision Science College, Humanities and Social Sciences College and Translation College. There are about 5,800 full-time students and about 200 full-time faculty members.
