How did the History of Nanming record Yanshan Garden?
1965, Li Baifeng recorded in "Liu Yazi, Guilin": "Acacia River is really a good place, where the streams are gurgling and picturesque. When the mountains and rivers are at a loss, there is a huge lotus pond with an area of about one mu. There is a winding wooden bridge in the pond with a pavilion in the middle ... It is said that the back is the perpetual calendar of that year. According to written records, the recorded place should be Yanshan Garden.

In the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties, Gui Wang Zhu Youlang established the Li Yong regime in Zhaoqing, Guangdong Province on 1646. Li Yong was a weak emperor, and the Li Yong regime was under strong pressure from abroad, and there was a dispute between civil servants and "Wu Chu" at home, so the military commanders were domineering, so Li Yong was often in danger and forced to run around. From the first year of Ming Dynasty to the fifth year (1647-1651), Li Yong was exhausted in Zhaoqing, Wuzhou, Guilin, Wugang, Liuzhou and Nanning. There are two records about Emperor Yongle in Guilin in the history of Nanming:

On February 26th (1647), the first year of Li Yong in the Southern Ming Dynasty and the first month of the fourth year of Shunzhi in the Qing Dynasty, Emperor Li Yong went to Guilin and set up a palace in the magistrate's office. On February 15 (March 20th), the Qing army approached Yangshuo in Toulie Aobao, and Li Yong fled to Quanzhou, entrusting Zhai to stay in Guilin. On March 1 1 day (April 15), tens of thousands of Qing soldiers attacked Guilin city. College students Zhai Shi and lieutenant Jiao Lian led their men to fight to the death. The Qing army was frustrated and retreated to Yangshuo. On May 14 (16 June), Liu Chengfeng's department fought with Jiao Lian's department, which aided Guangxi, and swept Fucheng. The Qing soldiers investigated and returned to Guilin on the 25th (27th) of the same month.

This is the first time that Emperor Yongle was in Guilin. In the same year1early February, Li Yong returned to Guilin for the second time.

In the fourth year of Shunzhi and September of the first year of Li Yong (1647), after Zhu Youlang arrived in Liuzhou, Qu Shizhen insisted that he move to Guilin, the provincial capital. Qu Shizhen pointed out: "Guilin is the upper reaches of the western provinces, with rugged terrain and strong battlements. It is indeed the fundamental place to prosper the king." There is Chu in the north and Guangdong in the east, but this place is moderate. "Zhu Youlang thought it was safer to stay in the inland of Guangxi and did not immediately adopt his suggestion. Until 1 1 month 13, He Tengjiao's four temperate battalions, such as Hao Yongzhong, Zhao, Hu Yiqing, Jiao Lian and Lu Ding, defeated the invading Gengqing Army in Quanzhou, and Zhu Youlang came to Guilin again on1February 5.

In the second year of Li Yong and the fifth year of Shunzhi (1648), it was reported in the middle of the night that the Qing army had entered the customs, and Qu Shizhen paid a visit to Emperor Li Yong. He urged calm, pointing out that even if the Qing army had arrived in Xing 'an, He Tengjiao should have an emergency report, and it was not appropriate to act easily before he got accurate information. The next day, Qu Shizhen went to see Li Yong again and said, "The holy driving means going. You should take it easy. Cover the soldiers and drive them away, and there will be looting. " When the holy driving stops, people in the city can be saved, and officials in the Qing Dynasty can be saved. "But Zhu Youlang ignored it and ordered him to leave Guilin immediately. "I'm in a hurry with ministers, and I'm in a hurry. "On the morning of 22nd, Zhu Youlang, his family and accompanying officials left Guilin.

Mr. Liu Yazi is an expert on the history of Nanming. Some scholars believe that Yanshan Garden should be built earlier during the training period of the Tang family in combination with the development characteristics of Country Garden. Before the Tang family built Yanshan Garden, there were quite a number of buildings in the original site of Yanshan Garden. After Tang Yue bought this manor, he probably planted flowers and trees and built garden buildings on the original basis, and further developed the original manor into a country villa garden. From this point of view, the development process of Yanshan Garden is similar to Wang Wei's Wang Chuan industry, which is the result of continuous expansion after several periods. However, the statement that Yanshan Garden is Nanming Palace cannot be confirmed because there is no other evidence.
