Yanshan University, located in Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province, is a key undergraduate university in Hebei Province and a well-known key undergraduate university in China. Yanshan University originated from Harbin Institute of Technology and was founded in 1920. 1958 in response to the call of the state, Harbin Institute of Technology moved heavy machinery and related majors to Fulaerji District, Qiqihar City, an important industrial town, and established the Fulaerji Branch of Harbin Institute of Technology.
