Recognition. Hunan University, founded in 1987, is a regular foreign university recognized by the Ministry of Education of China. It has the right to award master's and doctoral degrees, and its academic qualifications are widely recognized internationally, so Sinopec is also recognized. Hunan University in Korea, founded in 1978, is a four-year comprehensive university recognized by the Ministry of Education of China and South Korea.
