Anhui Normal University (AHNU for short) is located in Wuhu City, Anhui Province, which is the regional center of the Yangtze River Basin and an important port city. It is the earliest institution of higher learning in Anhui Province, and it comes down in one continuous line with the famous national Anhui University in the Republic of China.

A normal university is a key university in Anhui Province established by the Ministry of Education.
