"Double First-class" is a new higher education construction plan initiated by China government on the basis of the original 2 11project and 985 project to improve the quality of higher education. Double first-class universities include world-class universities and world-class disciplines, aiming at optimizing the allocation of higher education resources and enhancing the overall strength and international competitiveness of China's higher education.
