Henan University of Technology is located at the foot of Mangshan Mountain in Zhengzhou City, the capital of Henan Province, by the Yellow River. 1. Historical evolution

Henan University of Technology, with a history of 52 years, started its undergraduate education at 1959 and its postgraduate training at 198 1. In May 2004, it was formed by the merger of the former Zhengzhou Institute of Technology and the former Zhengzhou Institute of Technology.

The predecessor of Zhengzhou Institute of Technology was/kloc-0, the central grain cadre school established in Beijing in June 1956, and Zhengzhou Grain College was established in June 1959. It has been subordinate to the Ministry of Grain, the Ministry of Commerce and the Ministry of Internal Trade. In August 1998, it was transformed into a * * * building between the central government and Henan Province, with Henan Province as the main management. In May 2000, it was renamed Zhengzhou Institute of Technology.

Zhengzhou Institute of Technology, formerly known as Zhengzhou Machinery Manufacturing School, was founded in 1956. 1983 was upgraded to Zhengzhou Institute of Mechanical Engineering, 1993 was renamed Zhengzhou Institute of Engineering, and 1997 became the key construction school of the national model general higher engineering college. It successively belongs to the First Ministry of Machinery Industry, the Ministry of Machinery and Electronics Industry and the Ministry of Machinery Industry. 1August, 1998, it was transformed into the * * * building of the Central Committee and Henan Province, with Henan Province as the main management.

2. Discipline and major

After more than half a century's efforts, the school has developed into a multidisciplinary university focusing on engineering, with the coordinated development of engineering, science, economics, management, literature, law and agriculture. At present, about 70% of large and medium-sized wheat processing enterprises, 50% of vegetable oil processing enterprises and 90% of soybean phospholipid processing enterprises in China have adopted the technology provided by the school. During the Ninth Five-Year Plan period, as the backbone of the project "Improving China's Grain Circulation with World Bank Loan", the school completed most of the core technologies and engineering designs, and made outstanding contributions to the construction of modern grain circulation system in China.
