1. This major is a national major and a brand major in Shandong Province. This major has the right to award doctoral and master's degrees in the first-class discipline of law, as well as the right to award master's degrees in law, and has a postdoctoral research mobile station, which is one of the "double-class" key construction disciplines in the school.
This major has more than ten teaching, scientific research and legal service units, including the Institute of Law and Social Sciences, the Institute of Marine Law, the Polar Research Center and the International Curriculum Office. Training goal: to cultivate students' legal awareness, have a solid theoretical foundation of law, master the working skills of legal major, and have basic theoretical analysis and practical operation ability. Through the study of the basic theory of law at home and abroad and the training of legal practice teaching, as well as strengthening the construction of characteristic curriculum system and characteristic professional curriculum group.
Systematically master the legal theories and knowledge in core curriculum areas such as constitutional law, civil law, criminal law, administrative law, economic law, environmental and resource protection law, procedural law, international law, understand the development of legal theories at home and abroad and the information of domestic legislation, have the competitiveness at home and abroad, and can skillfully use legal knowledge and legal provisions to handle various legal affairs and solve various legal disputes.

4. Graduates mainly go to public security organs, state security organs, procuratorial organs, judicial organs, judicial administrative organs and other state administrative organs at all levels, enterprises and institutions, legal service institutions, or continue their postgraduate studies.
