Xingtai university is a full-time general undergraduate college which is jointly built by provinces and cities. The school's predecessor, Zhili No.4 Junior Normal School, was founded in 19 10 (the second year of Qing Dynasty) with a history of 109. It is one of the earliest four normal schools in Hebei Province. Some of the former sites in the early days of the school are still on campus, which witnessed the development of China's century-old normal education. 1In March, 1996, Xingtai Teachers College, Xingtai Education College and Xingtai Economic Management Cadre School merged to form Xingtai Teachers College. In March 2002, it was upgraded to Xingtai University with the approval of the Ministry of Education.
