Southeast University is one of the ten universities that the Ministry of Education and China Academy of Engineering jointly implement the pilot reform of higher engineering education, and it is the first batch of universities that the Ministry of Education has implemented the "Excellent Engineer Education and Training Plan" and the "National Innovative Experiment Plan for College Students". It is also one of the first batch of pilot universities in the "Excellent Doctor Education and Training Program" project, one of the top-notch innovative medical personnel training models and one of the five-year clinical medical personnel training model reform pilot schools, and one of the three universities in China that offer juvenile classes.
Southeast University began with Sanjiang Normal School, which was founded in 1902. After that, it experienced important historical periods such as Liangjiang Normal University, Nanjing Normal University, National Southeast University and National Central University. During the period of 1952, the departments of colleges and universities in China were adjusted, and the arts and sciences moved out. The former School of Engineering of National Central University was merged into Fudan University, Zhejiang University and Jinling University, and Nanjing Institute of Technology was established in the original site of National Central University. 1988 was renamed Southeast University.
The motto of Southeast University is a book of etiquette. At the beginning of this article, I said: "The way of a university is to be virtuous and close to the people, and stop at perfection." The "university" here is aimed at the "primary school" at that time. The "primary school", that is, etiquette, music, shooting, royal, calligraphy and mathematics, belongs to the level of "art" and is called the six arts, while "university" is the study of self-cultivation, which makes people morally perfect and belongs to the level of "Tao". Tao and art, metaphysics, metaphysics, metaphysics, metaphysics, pragmatism, objectivism.
