Introduction of Chengdu University of Technology:
ChengduUniversityofTechnology (Chengdu University of Technology) is a multi-disciplinary provincial key university focusing on science and engineering, with advantages in geology, energy, resource science, nuclear technology and environmental science. It was established by the Ministry of Natural Resources, Sichuan Provincial People's Government and Chengdu Municipal People's Government. It is the first batch of "double first-class" world-class discipline construction universities in China.
Selected as a member of CDIO Engineering Education Alliance, a high-level talent training and scientific research base of China Earth Science.
Chengdu University of Technology was established with the approval of the State Council 1956. Formerly known as Chengdu Geological Exploration Institute, it is based on the engineering departments of Chongqing University Geology Department, Northwest University Geology Department and Nanjing University Geology Department. At the same time, some cadres and teachers were transferred from Beijing Institute of Geology and Northeast Institute of Geology. After the establishment of the school, the petroleum department, the second department and the third department of the former Beijing Institute of Geology moved in successively as organizational systems. 1958 was renamed Chengdu Institute of Geology.
Postgraduate enrollment 1960. 198 1 became the first batch of master's degree awarding units in China, and 1984 won the right to award doctoral degrees. 1993 was renamed Chengdu University of Technology. 200 1 Chengdu University of Technology was approved by the Ministry of Education (Sichuan University of Commerce and Nonferrous Metals Geology Workers College merged). The school is directly under the Ministry of Geology and the Ministry of Geology and Minerals, and was placed in Sichuan Province in 2000.
As of March 2065438+2009, the school covers an area of 2,887 mu, with a building area of 970,000 square meters. There are graduate schools, 17 teaching colleges and 2 research institutes. There are 3,396 faculty members. There are 36,353 full-time students, including 30,540 undergraduates and 5 194 postgraduates.
