? Western University covers an area of 3008 mu. Shanxi University, located in Taiyuan, the capital of Shanxi Province, is one of the oldest institutions of higher learning in China. The school is not only a national "double first-class" construction university, but also a key university in Shanxi Province.

? Shanxi University Hall, founded in 1902, is the predecessor of the school. In the course of running a school, the school has been renamed as Shanxi University, National Shanxi University, Shanxi University, Shanxi Normal University and so on. Finally, the name of Shanxi University was restored at 1959.
