Yangzhou Vocational College is a full-time comprehensive higher vocational and technical college approved by Jiangsu Provincial People's Government, put on record by the Ministry of Education, sponsored by Yangzhou Municipal People's Government, and founded by Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education and Yangzhou Municipal People's Government.
It is a national pilot university for training skilled talents, an excellent university for evaluating the talent training level of higher vocational colleges of the Ministry of Education, and a training unit for high-level vocational colleges with characteristics in Jiangsu Province, China.
The school can be traced back to the new school in the late Qing Dynasty founded by 1906. It has successively merged with 17 schools and 1 research institutes such as Yangzhou Radio and TV University, Yangzhou Education College and Yangzhou Vocational and Technical College of Environmental Resources.
