Guizhou University was founded in 1902, and was named Guizhou University in 1950 and 10 after the period of Guizhou University Hall, provincial Guizhou University, national Guizhou College of Agriculture and Industry and national Guizhou University. 1August 1997, merged with Guizhou Agricultural College and other institutions. In August 2004, it merged with Guizhou University of Technology.
