Brief introduction of CET-4
CET-4 is a large-scale standardized examination sponsored by the Ministry of Education and undertaken by the Education Examinations Institute of the Ministry of Education (formerly the Examination Center of the Ministry of Education). This is a national teaching test. Its purpose is to promote college English teaching in China, measure college students' English ability objectively and accurately, and provide services for improving the teaching quality of college English courses in China.
The main target of the examination is college students, undergraduates or graduate students who have completed CET-4 according to the educational syllabus. Standardized grades 4 and 6 were prepared at the end of 1986 and formally implemented at 1987.
Second, the registration method
Candidates are requested to log in to the CET national online registration system according to the time specified by their school to complete the qualification examination, written registration fee and oral registration fee.

1, multiple volumes and multiple questions
The CET-4 and CET-6 are conducted in the form of "multiple volumes and multiple questions", that is, each examination room uses three different sets of papers, and only the listening part uses the same questions. The purpose of this move is to make the exam more fair and reasonable.
2. Examination institutions
The National College English Test Committee for Band 4 and Band 6 is appointed by the Ministry of Education. The Examination Committee is composed of professors and experts from several key universities in China, with two consultants, one chairman, several vice-chairmen, several members of professional committees and several members of advisory committees.
The National College English Test Committee (CET-4 and CET-6) is responsible for the college English test academically and organizationally. Part of the examination work is undertaken by the examination center of the Ministry of Education. The review committee shall set up an office as a permanent office.
