The school has Zhongguancun Campus and Liangxiang Campus in Beijing, and the total construction area of the "dual-core" campus is 1852300 square meters. Eight new teaching and research institutions have been established, including 2/kloc-0 professional colleges, 9 academy of sciences and frontier interdisciplinary research institutes. Among them, the first batch entered the national "2 1 1 project" and "985 project", and the first batch entered the "world-class university" to build a first-class university. Now they belong to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

The school adheres to the scientific and technological innovation policy of "anchoring strategy, forward-looking layout, strengthening characteristics and surpassing innovation", and continues to implement "planned, organized and quality" scientific research, which represents the national level in strategic core areas such as high-energy materials, scientific exploration, unmanned intelligence and cross-disciplinary mobility, and has obvious advantages in the frontier direction of quantum information, integrated circuits, intelligent manufacturing, green energy and special materials, and the scientific research results are of good quality and quantity.
