Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine is located at No.79 Chongshan East Road, Huanggu District, Shenyang City, Liaoning Province. The research and construction unit of key technologies and platforms for clinical trials of new drugs of traditional Chinese medicine, the National Clinical Research Base of traditional Chinese medicine, was entrusted to train the Confucius Institute universities and scholarship receiving institutions of the "Silk Road" China government scholarship project, and was selected into the national public postgraduate program for building high-level universities, the excellent doctor (Chinese medicine) education and training program of the Ministry of Education, and the key construction universities of first-class universities in Liaoning Province.

The main campus is located in Shenyang, and the two sub-campuses are located in Dalian and Benxi respectively. There are 17 colleges, 4 directly affiliated hospitals, 1 teaching department and 2 1 undergraduate majors. There are 968 faculty members, including 400 full-time teachers and 7625 ordinary undergraduates.
