I. Cities
Shanghai Film University is located in the magic capital of Shanghai, which can be said to occupy the commanding heights geographically, but it is undeniable that the school is indeed biased. In the suburb of Fengxian, Xuhui campus is in the city center, but most of them are junior college students, so I won't explain it here.
There are probably two ways to travel daily.
Take a bus to Fengxian subway station first, and then transfer from the subway to any place you want to go. Here, I have to praise the urban construction of Shanghai Dad. In Shanghai, as long as you can get into the subway station, you can go wherever you want, and you can change at the station without leaving the subway entrance. It's really convenient and fast.
Second, you can take the campus shuttle bus (dream) to Shanghai South Railway Station, which is much faster than changing to bus or subway. It is also the first choice for most Shanghai students to go home on holiday. But in fact, campus life is very convenient, basic living materials can be fully met, and there are many food streets around, so daily life is completely unaffected. And the school is near the sea, and the air is good. It is also a good choice to ride a bike to sea with friends.
Second, schools.
The school is the first key construction university in Shanghai named after "applied technology". In 2000, it was established by three junior colleges, and in 2008, it was authorized with a master's degree. 20 16 was renamed as "Universities of Applied Sciences, Shanghai", 20 17 became the project construction unit authorized by doctor's degree, and in 2020 it became the recommended unit of doctor's degree in Shanghai. This only recommended two schools.
In addition, the school also recruited international students and Telfer International Business School, and even annexed the Shanghai Institute of Spice. The strength of the school is still very strong.
Third, major.
The most prominent specialty of the school is essence and fragrance technology and engineering, mainly engaged in cosmetics research and development and perfume manufacturing, which is highly recognized in the industry. More than half of the country's perfumers are from our school, so our school is also called "the cradle of perfumers". Much worse than other majors. After all, the strength of running a school is limited, and there is really no way to provide too many strong majors.
The better ones are materials science and engineering (national characteristics), chemical engineering and technology (ESl ranks in the top 65,438+0% in the world, and the fourth round of discipline evaluation by the Ministry of Education is B-), mechanical engineering (the fourth round of discipline evaluation by the Ministry of Education is C-), food science and engineering (IFT and engineering education double international certification) and six outstanding engineer education and training programs. However, from the perspective of employment, the employment situation of the above-mentioned majors is not as good as that of students from the School of Economics and Management and the School of Computer Science.
Fourth, the admission scores
When it comes to admission scores, we have to mention a key factor here, that is, the scores are artificially high. It can be said that false high scores are very common, and it is normal that good areas can bring dozens of points to schools. But in this false high score, Shanghai is absolutely "perfect". Even the admission score of Ying Da in Shanghai is higher than that of 2 1 1 schools in many remote areas.
For example, I gave up two universities, Northeast Forestry University and Northeast Agricultural University (although both universities are agricultural and forestry colleges, it is undeniable that they are 2 1 1 colleges, which will be higher than ordinary colleges in insurance research and social recognition), but I won't say more about why I made such a choice.
I just want to tell you that if your area is remote or economically underdeveloped, schools applying for Shanghai need to take out quite a lot of scores before they can apply, and Shanghai University, in the middle and lower reaches of Shanghai, is a guaranteed institution for many Shanghai candidates.
As for what you may have heard from some candidates in Shanghai that the school is two schools, I don't think it is necessary. In fact, Shanghai has long implemented the enrollment policy of merging one school and two schools. All schools are collectively referred to as undergraduate schools, but the schools have been recruiting students from two schools before the merger. After all, the school was just beginning to develop and its business was not complete. Coupled with the fact that it has not changed its name, it is still an academic school, and naturally it is not favored by candidates.
The development prospect of verb (abbreviation of verb)
Speaking of the development prospect, I personally am very optimistic, not to mention that the school has achieved such great development in just over ten years, and the orientation of running a school is very in line with the development requirements of our country.
Universities are generally divided into two types in the world, one is academic research type and the other is applied technology type. At present, the current mode of running a school in China is mainly academic research. At present, most ordinary undergraduate universities in China are transforming into applied technology universities, among which there are many key universities. Universities of Applied Sciences, which aims at running schools with applied technology from the beginning, has a bright future.
Sixth, life experience
At the beginning, I chose southern universities, largely because I didn't like the accommodation conditions in the north. Most of my friends stay in the north. As said on the Internet, there are 6 people and 8 people in a room (4 people in a few colleges and universities), bunk beds (a few colleges and universities go to bed and get off the table), no air conditioning, no balcony and no bathroom (basically wiped out by the whole army). On the other hand, it is big, with four rooms, bed and table, air conditioning, balcony, cubicle bathroom, water dispenser and other living facilities.
I prefer that Shanghai University has bathrooms on every floor. There is a compartment in the bathroom, and there is also a locker in the compartment for storing clothes and toiletries, which saves me the trouble of cleaning every day while protecting my privacy. Because they are all floors, it is particularly convenient to take a bath. Personally, such a facility is more convenient than a single bathroom. Dormitories are divided into high-rise and low-rise buildings. This tall building is equipped with an elevator. Although there are no low-rise buildings, high-rise buildings do not affect life.
Because in the new campus, the construction of the school is very good, and every classroom is equipped with air conditioning (one before and one after), so you don't have to worry about being hot in summer and cold in winter. The school is also equipped with 500 exclusive bicycles for students to travel every day.
There are two excellent schools around the school, East China University of Science and Technology and Shanghai Normal University, which have a strong learning atmosphere. The school has a 24-hour all-night study room for students to study independently. It is worth mentioning that the school has no access control system, and you can freely enter and leave the dormitory by swiping the campus card every night (I really envy friends who can't leave the dormitory after 1 1 every day). A canteen on the second floor of the school is also open 24 hours a day.
The building of the school is very modern, and there are self-service vending machines downstairs in each building (it supports face-brushing payment and is very tall). In a word, my life experience in Shanghai University is definitely the best choice within my score selection range. I hope this article can help you.
