1909: The discipline of economic management of Beijing Jiaotong University was founded, which is the earliest base for training senior management talents in China.

1996: The former School of Economics, the Department of Materials Management Engineering and the Department of Industry and Construction Management Engineering merged to form the School of Economics and Business Administration.

1999: School of Economics and Business Administration was renamed School of Economics and Management.
