The Department of Education of the School of Education Science and Management was formerly the Education Teaching and Research Section, which was established in 1983. In order to adapt to the new situation of higher normal education reform and development, the Ministry of Education was established on September 30, 2003. The current dean is Professor Li Tianfeng.

The Department of Education has three undergraduate majors: school education, primary education and computer-aided education. It has all the connections with the basic education research of the college. The department also has an education reference room, 1 education laboratory, 1 psychology basic laboratory, 1 student network computer room, three multimedia classrooms and seven teaching practice bases for teachers and students of the department to carry out teaching, research and practice. There are also two adult education majors: primary education (correspondence college) and pedagogy (correspondence undergraduate).

There are full-time teachers 17 in the whole department, including 3 full-time teachers, 6 deputy senior teachers, 7 intermediate teachers and 1 junior teacher 1 person. Department of psychology

Department of education management

The Department of Education Management of the School of Education Science and Management was formerly the Education Management Teaching and Research Section, which was established in 1999. Department of Preschool Education

The Department of Preschool Education was established in 1987, with 5 new teachers. Curriculum education department

The Curriculum and Teaching Department of School of Educational Science and Management of Yunnan Normal University was established in April 2006. At present, there is mainly a dean and two teachers. Institute of educational science

Yunnan Institute of Educational Science was established in February 1979. Our college adheres to the principle that scientific research serves the development of education and the improvement of national quality in Yunnan. The main research directions are: basic education; Ethnic education; Developmental psychology; Mental health and mental health, etc. The institute has long attached importance to the study of minority education and has made some achievements in this research field. Basic education research center

The "Center" sets a certain number of planning topics every year to encourage primary and secondary school teachers in the province to actively carry out educational research in view of the current difficulties and hot spots in primary and secondary education, and provide a certain theoretical basis for the educational reform in normal universities.

In 2000, the data center of the School of Education Science and Management was formed by the merger of three reference rooms: the former Education Department of Normal University, Yunnan Institute of Education Science (Yunnan Normal University) and the Education Management Department of Yunnan Education College. The work of the data center revolves around the literature, books and information materials needed by the college in teaching, scientific research and management.

The data center is located in Room 3 10 on the third floor of Tian Jiabing Institute of Education, and consists of a library and a reading room. It covers an area of about 150m2, and has 2 data management personnel. It is open all day from Monday to Friday to provide services for teachers and students in the hospital.

The literature materials in the library are mainly psychology and pedagogy, supplemented by some books on related disciplines. The collection of books has increased from about 1 10,000 volumes in 2000 to about10.6 million volumes at present, and there are 673 foreign language books. Every year, the center buys about 200 new books. The collected documents and books are open to teachers, full-time master students and full-time undergraduate graduates. Teachers borrow about 1000 copies a year, and students borrow about 7500 copies a year. Every student owns 18 books, and every student borrows 15 books, with a borrowing rate of 93%.

The reading room subscribes to nearly 200 Chinese and foreign periodicals every year and sells them on the shelves, and puts more than 500 original foreign books and large reference books of related professional disciplines for the convenience of teachers and students in the whole hospital. The reading room is open for 40 hours every week, with 22 seats and an annual circulation of 4,800 people. It is open to correspondence students in winter and summer vacations every year as usual to ensure the rational circulation and effective use of information.

Experimental center

The teaching experiment center of the School of Education Science and Management has a total laboratory area of 438㎡ and 584 sets of equipment, with a total value of about 3.46 million yuan. It mainly includes: teaching skills training room, piano room, basic psychology teaching laboratory, psychological measurement room, psychological consultation room and data analysis room. Each laboratory serves the basic and applied teaching research of each course and is open to teachers and students all day.

The teaching skills training room mainly draws lessons from modern network technology, and with the support of multimedia software control system and powerful audio-video digital processor, it carries out real-time multi-directional exchange, on-site teaching, observation, evaluation and discussion of teaching information for students majoring in normal education and preschool education in our college, so as to comprehensively improve students' teaching skills and teaching and research ability. The piano room is mainly for pre-school education majors and underage students to teach and practice piano skills.

The basic psychology teaching laboratory and psychometric room mainly undertake the teaching experiments of experimental psychology and psychometric courses and collect data for various experimental studies. Students should not only be familiar with the principle and operation of experiments, but also analyze data and write experimental reports. In the counseling room, teachers give individual counseling to visitors, students watch the whole process of counseling through closed-circuit television, and analyze and discuss counseling cases to train students' counseling skills. E-Prime psychological experiment software system, experimental stimulus generation and presentation system, psychological measurement scale and commonly used psychological statistics software have been installed in the above psychological laboratories.

The data analysis room is equipped with a network server, and students and teachers can browse and download free full-text electronic journals and abstract databases related to pedagogy and psychology in the electronic reading room of the school library.
