The exchange program at Tubingen University is still very tiring. After all, as an exchange student, language is the first obstacle. Learning German with native speakers is one of the important challenges in communication life, and the university courses are also different from those in China. For example, in addition to the courses related to literature and linguistics, the specialized German teaching direction is also listed as an important part of the German department curriculum, and each direction of the course consists of several seminars and lectures. In the undergraduate course of literature, lectures and reading classes mainly focus on teaching an introduction to literature, and seminars are divided into three themes: poetry, drama and prose. Linguistics, on the other hand, introduces all aspects of basic knowledge in the form of seminars, accompanied by a large class taught by several lecturers in turn. In addition, many professional courses are equipped with their own remedial classes or exercise classes, which are presided over by teaching assistants to answer questions for students. We can feel that universities attach importance to systematization in curriculum setting. The process of learning is also a process of adaptation. Compared with the previous study, I have to read more German materials before class, and my brain needs to turn faster during class. In the seminar class, you can see that many students spoke enthusiastically, and the whole class had a long discussion on a certain point of view. Listening carefully to every sentence in class is not only a good opportunity to practice listening, but also a way for students to draw inferences from others. Raising your hand when the teacher asks simple questions can also bring you some sense of accomplishment. Since the third grade, domestic professional courses have also paid more attention to the guidance of deeper language learning. Studying in the exchange school has a cohesive effect, which makes me feel German learning in the mother tongue environment more intuitively.
