Generally speaking, the requirements of colleges and universities for CET-6 vary widely, but most of them still have clear requirements. According to the notice of summer camp in previous years, it can be roughly divided into the following four intervals:

The first interval: above 425, the legendary passing line of band 6 (there is no official passing line for band 6, and this score line is only a version given by the people according to 60%). For example, the School of Economics and Management of Wuhan University stipulates that the CET-6 score is above 425.

The second interval: more than 450 points, there are many schools in this interval, which needs attention. According to the summer camp of Peking University National Development Institute, the registered students' English has reached the national level 6, with more than 450 points. According to the regulations of Qinghai Renmin University, English has reached the national band 6 (above 450 points). According to the regulations of the School of Finance of the University of International Business and Economics, the English level is good, and the score of CET-6 is above 450. Nankai Institute of Finance stipulates that the score of Band 6 is not less than 450 points.

The third interval: 460 points, about 65% of the full score. The School of Finance of Central University of Finance and Economics stipulates that English should reach CET-6, with a score of over 460. According to the regulations of the School of Finance and Finance of Renmin University of China, English has reached the national level 6, with a score of more than 500.

The fourth interval: only a few colleges with more than 580 points (very good colleges) dare to call their scores so high.
