Jiangsu Institute of Technology is a provincial full-time ordinary university, located in Changzhou, Jiangsu Province, a famous historical and cultural city and an important modern manufacturing base in the Yangtze River Delta. Founded in 1984, the school was renamed Jiangsu Institute of Technology on 20 12 after Changzhou Vocational Teachers College, Changzhou Technical Teachers College and Jiangsu Technical Teachers College.

The school is an excellent unit for undergraduate teaching level evaluation of the Ministry of Education, a pilot unit for postgraduate training of "Serving the National Special Needs Talents Training Project", the first batch of key construction bases for vocational education teacher training in China and the first batch of decision-making consulting research bases in Jiangsu Province.
