Northeast Institute of Technology is now called "Northeastern University". Northeastern University, located in Shenyang, Liaoning Province, is a public institution of science and engineering, belonging to the key universities of "Project 2 1 1" and "Project 985 1".

The key majors of Northeastern University are: computer science and technology, materials science and engineering, machinery manufacturing and automation, mining engineering, metallurgical engineering, control science and engineering, biomedical engineering, etc.

Northeast Institute of Technology is now called Northeastern University. Northeastern University was founded in April of 1923 and March of 1949, and Shenyang Institute of Technology was established on the basis of the Engineering College and Science College of Northeastern University (in part).

1950 was named Northeast Institute of Technology in August; /kloc-0 changed its name to northeastern university in March, 1993; 1June, 997, the former Shenyang Gold College was merged into Northeastern University.
