Brief introduction of some universities

1 East China University of Science and Technology

East China University of Science and Technology, formerly known as East China Institute of Chemical Technology, was founded in 1952 by the Department of Chemical Engineering of Jiaotong University, Aurora University, Datong University, Soochow University and Jiangnan University. In 1956, it was designated as one of the first schools in China to recruit graduate students. 1960 was identified as a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education, and 1993 was renamed East China University of Science and Technology; 1996 became the national "2 1 1 project" key construction university.

2. Shanghai University

1922 10, founded by Shanghai University in cooperation with the state, 1927 was forcibly closed by the Kuomintang authorities. 1983, Shanghai Municipal People's Government established Shanghai University on the basis of Fudan University Branch, Shanghai International Studies University Branch, East China Normal University Branch of Instrumentation and Electronics, Shanghai University of Science and Technology Branch, Shanghai Machinery Institute Branch of Light Industry and Shanghai Fine Arts School.

1May, 1994, the new Shanghai University was founded by University of Shanghai for Science and Technology (founded on 1960), Shanghai University of Science and Technology (founded on 1958), former Shanghai University (founded on 1983) and Shanghai Institute of Science and Technology (founded on/kloc-0)
