Wu Wenjun, a Shanghainese, is one of the founders of topology. He is one of the 88 great mathematicians in the world today and the first China native to be awarded a foreign academician by the American Academy of Sciences.
5. Chen Shengshen
Shiingshenchen (1911)1was born in Xiushui County, Jiaxing, Zhejiang Province on October 28th, and is a Chinese American mathematician. Chen Shengshen is an important differential geometer in the 20th century and is known as the "father of differential geometry".
